If you apply many different styles to your document, which is not recommended,
or use an inappropriate filter such as All Styles rather than Applied Styles or
Hierarchical this is a logical consequence. The current selection has to be
shown, period.
The request in 94427 is about the confusion when you single click a different
style, eg to modify, but don't apply to the current selection. Different
scenario to switching between Text Body > My Text 1 and Text Body > My Text 2.
(Using Default is discouraged.)
I recommend to resolve as NAB.
