All since decades the selection status is not shown, except by a kind of tool
tip.
As you can see on the screenshot, there's room enough to the right to show
terms
like "Block", "Adding", "Standard" etc.
If I want to secure the block selection mode at present, I have to click, move,
see the tool tip, move back, click, move away ...... and so on 3 times.
After performing some other tasks I must remember in what mode the selection
is,
because nothing is shown. Quite cumbersome when you got a lot of work to do.
