Because someone in-the-know might look where, in the code, this error message
is triggered…
Also because ‘General error’ is too vague and does not help
** the user to correct his/her error, if any;
** LO programmers to locate and fix the bug, if that's the problem.
Similarly, a crash is not reproducible, but LO programmers investigate it.
