[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137210] Edit --> Fields... fails to highlight or otherwise indicate the current field while navigating forward and backward, making locating the field in question cumbersome and slow.

Not sure, if I understand your problem. Have you enabled field shading (View ->
Field shading or Strg+F8)

=> NEEDINFO
