to my mind, it does not freeze at all.
It only looks alike.
Do this:
On having thought a document frozen, type something.
Save the document.
Reopen it again.
For me the new text shows up.
So the problem in my case was one of rendering. This means: The text is
accepted fine, but not shown.
The workaround can be found somewhere in the thread.
