            Bug ID: 137555
Summary: Language Selection in 'Edit Custom Dictionary'
                    improvment proposition
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Hi there,
While trying to create my own Dictionary for scientific words, to avoid
inopportune spelling check, I encountered a slight disapointment.

In "Right click [on misspelled word]/Spelling.../Options.../Edit...[after
having created a new dictionnary]' (i.e. in 'Edit Custom Dictionary'),
when I type a letter while Language selection list is focused, (e.g typing 'f'
for French for instance), it selects directly the first language that starts by
this letter (e.g. 'Faroese' by default) and proposes directly to choose this
language with the 'Confirmation' box ("Do you want to change the 'scientific
[English (UK)dictionary language" for instance).

I'd personnally prefer that, when I type a single letter, it selects the first
concerned language, but wait for an other keyboard action ('pressing Enter' for
instance) to launch the confirmation box.
(As commonly in the case of a selection list)

It is not a really important issue, but it could improve a little the
ergonomics of LibreOffice.

Yours sincerely,
