Hello, Aron. Thanks. This is a quote by Heiko Tietze from the link you gave:

So it's not clear to me:
1. whether that bug is _really_ intended to be fixed someday (WF - won't fix?)
2. ... and whether the default image anchoring would be changed to "as
character" _even if_ that bug will be fixed.
