There is a typo in my additional information. The typo was in the word "now".
The additional information should read:
"If you save the document, then the style textfield/selector is refreshed and
now looks properly, i.e. no overlapping takes place."
By "save the document" I mean pressing ctrl+s. To see the effect of properly
refreshing, the document is required to already exist.
The bug occurred after the (X)Ubuntu update from 18.04 to 20.04, i.e. it
occurs in 20.04, but it didn't occur at 18.04. The user interface is Xfce, i.e.
it's actually Xubuntu.
