I'm not sure how much we can do here. An author could remove the wrapping
spacing in order to get the effect he wants. But in this case, wrapping is set
for both sides, so we could hardly just set one side to zero on import.
The only other option would be a compatibility flag, and handle the layout
differently - a nasty business indeed.
