Just to confirm that I see the same problem in all windows versions of 7.x up
to and including 7.1.0 beta 1. The waste of space is considerable on small
screens. When using styles, which I know well, I only need to see the first few
characters of the style name to be able to select the correct one. The much
greater ability to resize downward the sidebar seen in 6.x (and before) is much
better than now available in 7.x.
