Priority: medium
Bug ID: 59603
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: EDITING: Support for OpenType stylistic sets
Severity: enhancement
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 3.6.4.3 release
Component: Writer
Product: LibreOffice
I have several fonts on my computer that use the OpenType feature of stylistic
sets to access alternate glyphs. Also, once in a while I like to use OpenType
to change a font's numbers from old style to lining.
But the only OpenType feature LibreOffice supports is ligatures. An enormous
number of fonts out there use OpenType features such as the ones I have
described above, and that is why I have set this bug to critical. On the other
hand, LibreOffice provides full and fantastic support for Graphite, a font
technology in its infancy used only by a handful of fonts.
Could LibreOffice *please* add support for OpenType features? I hate having to
use Word just to change a few glyphs.
