There is no problem to use Sqlite through ODBC. Must also work with the
Thunderbird addressbook.
There is reported only one (unconfirmed) bug:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131238
For normal users the connection through ODBC isn't as easy as the direct
connection with the old driver for Thunderbird.
