Bug 139068 is not specific to the 7.0 performance regression, it goes back much
further than that. I have thus reopened that bug report and attached a new
heavier sample that triggers the problem even on 6.3.x. With some luck, it may
have some sort of underlying relationship with 138068 (here) but possibly not,
and I suspect that even if you revert the regression from 7.0 the other
performance bug might remain.
