Can not confirm.
The draw shape objects including a text box object, respond correctly.
A single click within the shape but not on its text box will select the shape
with borders. A double click there will change to text cursor of the contained
text box.
A single click on the text of a shape object, will enter text cursor mode with
focus on the text. From there an <Esc> will restore the shape selection with
its controls.
