Having the same or, maybe, similar issue on
Version: 7.0.4.2
Build ID: 00(Build:2)
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.9; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: uk-UA (uk_UA.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded
If there is image (even some part of it) in visible area of the document, text
input, editing (changing font, colour, etc) and deleting are too laggy. Scroll
is also affected when there are image in the document. While there are only
text, scroll is quite smooth, but as image appears on the screen, scroll
becomes very laggy.
