OK, unclear as to steps to reproduce (STR).
You had deleted the default 'Templates' path(s)? I.e.
$ORIGIN/../share/template/common, and $ORIGIN/../share/template/de-DE
Then a profile reset was needed to cleared the crashes.

That is correct in GUI, you add a path with the dialog.
