Bug ID: 140056
Summary: PDF graphics inserted into the document are rasterized
during PDF export (improvement: vector graphics nature
should be preserved)
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.0.3.1 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When I insert some PDF maps (vector based) in a Writer document (Insert >
Image...) and export the document to PDF, the linked PDF maps are rasterized.
Is this an error? I would like to preserve the vector graphics nature of linked
graphics when exporting to PDF.
With linked SVG maps, the vector graphics nature is preserved during PDF
export. However, SVG format is not an option in print and LibreOffice
unfortunately does not support EPS.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert > Image... and choose a PDF to include in document
2. Export Writer-document to PDF
Actual Results:
Linked PDF in document will be rasterized
Expected Results:
Vector graphics nature of linked PDF in document should be preserved
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
