Can't reproduce this 'greyed' behavior at all (also not in previous steps).

I can confirm that behavior, but I think this behavior is more related to your
other reports (see Bug 58134). Therefore I mark this as 'enhancement', not as
bug (because you already report that in other bug report).

Tested with LibreOffice 4.0.0.2 rc2 with Linux Mint 14 x64.
