platform: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
font: gnu unifont (http://unifoundry.com/unifont.html)

I think that Sazanami gothic doesn't have Katakana Phonetic Extensions gryphs,
so this subset doesn't appear in "Special Characters" dialog box.
