            Bug ID: 140519
Summary: Enhancment: Displayed Font Selection Option
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 3.3.0 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Under Ubuntu, all fonts installed on the system are displayed in the font
dropdown. This is highly unfortunate, because Ubuntu by default installs
international fonts automatically with some common packages. If the Noto font
set is install, you literally have over 200 fonts added to your list. Fonts
that you will never, ever use, but you have to scroll past anyway. This is an
immense anti-feature and a waste of time.

My proposal is to have a dialog that opens in Options with a checkbox by each
font so the end-user can decide if they want the font displayed in the dropdown
list or not.

Alternatively, let's all lobby Ubuntu to stop installing fonts that are
different from the fonts required by the L18N specified by the user when they
install the OS.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Ubuntu and LO.
2. Optionally, try to install a package such as Java or Fontforge that has font
dependencies. This step is not required since an initial install also has font
dependencies.
3. Try to change your font.

Actual Results:
The problem is that LO has no mechanism to filter the font options displayed.

Expected Results:
n/a

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
