Damn numbering

Since old libreoffice (3.5.X, 3.6.X and now 4.X),
there is a bug, or a missing feature on numbering titles.

When you use "1. mytitle" and you write a paragraph, then you want to write "2.
my second title", numbering restarts at 1.

Neither "resume numbering" nor "Continue previous numbering" has effect. It's
very very penalizing when you write a big document, the only way is to make the
titles 1., 1.1, 1.2, 2. , 2.1 ... together, or to cut/paste your paragraph.
Many time is lost. If you can fix numbering before launch 4.0 it will be very
very useful. I know many users which are like me, angry of this function, which
make us lost a lot of time only for title numbering :s

Thanks for advance
