Not so strange to me. There are thousand of lines producing the layout, and
zero sub/superscript is probably at some point a multiplication with 0. This
setting is what Normal means. => WF
Moreover, your idea to manipulate attributes to make two different fonts
visually similar sounds wrong to me.
