I could confirm the buggy behavior. The properties of the control will show the
right format but the control will show the separator of the language, which is
set at
Options → Language Settings → Languages → Formats → Local Setting
For German the sparator will be a '.', in the screenshot it is a '-'
If I change to a formatted field it will show the right format while editing
the form and switch to test the input. But the format won't be saved in the
form so the language settings of this field are ignored also.
