Speculation about what is happening:
Calc window position is referenced to its root window. When coming out of
screen saver state, windows tries to reference the calc window position to the
other (smaller) root window dimensions. This results in part of the calc
window being offscreen. The windows manager repositions the calc window to be
fully onscreen.
