It is quite possible that we need to get a breakpoint in _exit to see where it is called from; it is entirely possible that we need to run the app then insert a breakpoint into: __cxa_throw, continue and then dump traces for all exceptions until the one that causes the exit - but it'd be good to know where in the code that is coming from.
