          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 60476
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: [UI] Improve integration with GNOME desktop
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: x86 (IA32)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.0.0.3 release
         Component: UI
           Product: LibreOffice

As one of the new features in LibreOffice 4.0, presented a better integration
of the global menu and HUD to Ubuntu. As the slogan says that Ubuntu is GNU /
Linux. Would not it be good to give a little love to GNOME?

Since some time ago, there are specifications for the new GNOME menus (as
gmenu), and would be pretty good to start saving vertical space.

I do not know the implications to switch to GTK3 (for example), but since the
new theme Adwaita in GNOME 3.6, LibreOffice looks much better.

I appreciate that the developers have done so far, and what they did with
Ubuntu agracede, but just tell them (as humble user) do not forget that other
environments such as GNOME.

thanks
