Maybe I used the wrong wording. I attached a screenshot to make it more clear:
Screenshot is from Impress' master view when trying to delete a textframe
designated as autolayout area.
When designing a title slide there are typically no content and footer areas.
Only the title area may be required. It is not possible to delete areas not
needed.
