On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I don't reproduce the
crash with gen or kf5 rendering.
You can try a more recent 7.2 daily build or try to provide a backtrace (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport/Debug_Information, depending
on the env).
