You can indeed wait for 7.1.5 or even 7.1.6 if you're not confident about 7.1.4
but according to https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan/7.0, there
won't be any newer version than 7.0.6 for 7.0 branch.
In all cases, having a recent backup of your important files is always useful
(whatever the software you want to use).
