          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 60642
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Can not display / create comments in LO Impress
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Windows (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: x86 (IA32)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.0.0.3 release
         Component: Presentation
           Product: LibreOffice

Description of problem:
Can not display comments in LO Impress files created in MS Office or LO. On the
other hand if you make editing changes and the document is saved, the comments
are lost (loss of information).

In addition, you can insert comments in new documents.

Simple as it may seem, this section decreases collaborative work that can be
done.

Version-Release number of selected component:
Windows 7 SP1
LibreOffice Impress 4.0

How reproducible:
Open a presentation document with LO 4.0 (OpenDocument or Office Open XML)
containing comments (made with LO 3.6, MS Office 2010/2013) → comments are
not displayed.

Edit a presentation (OpenDocument or Office Open XML) containing comments, and
perform editing work. Save the document. → When you open the file in LO 3.6 or
MS Office 2010/2013 there are no comments.

Create a blank file with LO Impress. go to menu "insert / comment". The menu
appears in gray (not selectable).

Expected results:
To view, create and edit comments in LO Impress 4.0

Additional info:
In pursuit of cooperative management, the system add comments Impress could be
improved (especially as shown), this because it is on the slide and a
disproportionate size, is invasive. I do not mean a big change, but that
comments be submitted in Impress as Writer, next and orderly (and please both
Impress and in Writer, you can insert a comment from the context menu, as in
Calc).

For space would no problem, as the sidebar "tasks" (for me) is not very useful
(to the form as presented, not their functions), as always hidden or close.
Invoke only when I need from the context menu (I have always wondered why the
task sidebar displayed by default in views "outline, notes and handout, there
are design issues, but they may be perfectly in page setup menu.) in that sense
one could observe the presentation of options MS Office 2013, and a sidebar
appears only when needed and then return to normal view (main view and slide
sidebar)

thanks
