Stephan, I think that this is a new bug, which we (generally me) have
introduced last two weeks. Please, take a look at this video:

I will fix the bugs with the Java null pointer exceptions. Please, do not waste
time with them. The crash shown in the video is something more general and it
exists in the code base for a longer time.
