it's just incrementing the '1' without taking the '-' into account?
one can understand such and learn to live with it,
but ... in other areas calc acts with a very strong binding between sign and
value, e.g. calculating '=-2^4' as '=(-2)^4' rather than '=-(2^3)' what school
math would do.
