FYI, recent versions of Mozilla Firefox are able to avoid stealing focus. Steps: 1. Firefox is already open. 2. Make sure it's not active. 3. Right-click on Firefox icon on the task bar and choose "Open new window" In my case, new Firefox is opened in the background. PS: I am no longer using LibreOffice anymore. Too tired to bypass all the problems it has. So I rarely reply to bug comments.
