--- Comment #2 from Steve <[email protected]> ---
When saving an existing MS 2003 .xls spreadsheet with a Text Box to LibO .ods
format using LibreOffice Calc 4.0 on a machine running Windows XP, the
following message appears: “Error saving the document ‘name’: Write error. The
file could not be written. [OK]”. Same result on another machine running
Windows 7. In each case, the save operation succeeded after the Text Box was
removed. In neither case did this cause the Error Report Tool to start. In
another test on a machine running Debian, the above save succeeded.
Furthermore, the resulting saved .obs file was put back one of the above
Windows machines, and the same save test succeeded.
To reproduce:
On a Windows XP (or 7) machine, create a new Excel 2003 (or 2007) file. Add a
Text Box. Put some data in at least one cell. Save. Now open the file in
LibreOffice Calc 4.0 and Save As an .ods file. Error message should appear.
Now, remove the Text Box, and again save as an .ods file. Save should succeed.
