The only field I couldn't reassign was the final one, which didn't seem to be linked to anything in the old datasource (some kind of control field ?) Clicked on Synchronize labels. Saved the Writer label document. Then typed Cmd-P (print) to launch the mailmerge wizard. In the mailmerge wizard, I took all of the data from the linked ODS file, no filtering or anything else.
