LibreOffice could do with an OCR component that can substitute for ABBYY
FineReader. That's to be able to capture from the screen or a document then OCR
and convert to clipboard or document, embedding the recognised text in the
document with the same layout as the original.
All the documents with embedded text I've come across on Archive.org seem to
have been done with ABBYY FineReader.
