Qubit <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #1 from Qubit <[email protected]> --- (U 12.04.2, LO 4.0.0.3) > On Linux + CUPS + PS printer PPD + PDF printing mode, Using CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.8-pre1 > open Writer. Yep > Create a document. Pasted in some text I needed to print out (Hel Ved - Norway firewood specialists). > Format-> Page-> Page-> Format-> choose some non-loaded > size like "legal". Chose "Legal" Note: I have no Legal-sized tray in my printer > File-> Print. Note the paper size is set to "legal". > Print the document. Confirmed: paper size is set as Legal (it's listed right above the preview graphic) > The printer will print it on letter sized paper without > warnings. Confirmed: document printed on letter-sized paper; no warnings issued > If you change to the more traditional postscript printing > mode (uncheck Tools-> Options-> LibreOffice-> Print-> > Printer-> "PDF as Standard Print Job Format") the problem > disappears. NACK: I am not warned if I print a Legal-sized paper when I set the standard job format as PS. However, this may be a result of not having a Legal-sized paper tray. In both cases, the printed page has no bottom margin -- the lines continued right off the bottom of the page. --- Result: I would expect to be warned about my document page size not matching the tray of my printer. I'm not marking this bug as NEW because I'm unable to confirm that PS printing fixes the issue. It's possible I'm seeing a different behavior of LO + the printing system. Todo: We need someone with a more similar system to confirm this one. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
