Did you check Java was installed and it corresponded 32/64 bits (I mean LO 32 bits needs Java 32 bits, LO 64 bits needs Java 64 bits)? What Java do you use, what's its version and 32/64 bits? Also, on Debian there's a package: libreoffice-java-common I don't know if it's the case for OpenSuse.
