For example: You have a document where the main font is Liberation Serif, but the font that is used for the Table Contents style is Liberation Sans. You create a new table and then Writer apply the Table Contents style to its cells. And then you create a list in one of the cells of that table. In this case, the list will use Liberation Sans and this is exactly what you most probably want. Contrary, if newly created lists will utilize List 1 paragraph style, the newly created list in table cell will use Liberation Serif.
