--- Comment #3 from Martin Holmes <[email protected]> ---
This is a showstopper bug, confirmed on both Linux and OSX. In a presentation
where (for instance) there are three bullet points, each of which has a custom
animation of "Appear" on click, when you run the presentation in 4.0, the
following happens:

 - The third bullet point is visible initially, when it shouldn't be.

 - The custom animations for the first and second work as expected.

If the third bullet-point has multiple lines, sometimes only the last line is
visible.

I've tried numerous workarounds for this, creating bullet points and assigning
animations in various orders, but nothing works. Even adding a final invisible
bullet point won't solve the problem. If you use images instead of text
elements, the problem does not appear. I've inspected the source code of
documents which exhibit the problem, and it seems absolutely fine; it appears
to be the version 4 rendering engine which is at fault. A document created in
4.0, which shows the problem in 4.0, seems to work fine when opened in 3.6.

This seems very urgent to me. It makes Impress absolutely useless for simple
presentations.
