Priority: medium
Bug ID: 61570
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Automatic silent profile smartphone to start a
slideshow
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: other
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: ARM
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: Impress Remote 1.0.2
Component: Android Impress Remote
Product: LibreOffice
This problem stems from experience and a particular case happened to me
recently LO impress remote testing.
Usually, when you make a slide show, invites the public to put their phones on
silent (and of course the host should be the example), however there are times
when it is not requested and the presenter forgets to put his own phone silent
(eg a teacher who goes from one room to another to make their professorships)
and is embarrassing to interrupt your own presentation by this oversight.
The idea is that when you start a presentation with LO Impress remote,
automatically activate the silent profile in the smartphone and left all our
attention on making a good presentation. That would avoid spending a little
embarrassed in public (not out of trouble all know so charismatic).
To this add two caveats:
1. Incoming calls will be made in the background: When receiving a call, LO
impress remote stays in the background and requires paying attention to the
call (if only to hang) to continue the presentation. If an important call and
want to answer could be made from the notification bar on Android.
2. Add an option to set automatic silent mode: I mean a silent mode with or
without vibration. This I take from my experience, because no one would like to
interrupt your own presentation to the sound of your ringtone (which can be
funny), but often expect an "important call".
Then:
a. Automatic silent profile with vibration: For those expecting an important
call (and want to realize it as present).
b. Automatic silent profile without vibration: For those who want to make your
presentation without interruption and view notifications of missed calls later
(like me)
Thank you.
