I just tested with the version below, and even though the CPU didn't go higher than 15% for soffice, I could not change the selection for about 8 seconds after using the Ctrl + A shortcut (i.e., the whole area is selected, but clicking on a cell to change the selection wouldn't work until after 8 seconds).
