This is a feature which is not supported yet.

Also, the MSO screenshot provided by Xisco Faulí is not "correct" - It may be
what it looks like in English version of MSO. In Chinese version of MSO, the
character is located within the circle, rather than besides the circle.

This is called "Enclose Characters" on the MSO UI, the tooltip of which is
"Emphasis a character by circle or a box around it". When inserted, a field
like "eq \o\ac(○,字)" is saved in the document.



For those who would like to use Numbering style ➀, ➁, ➂, ... ㉑, ㉒, ㉓, ... ㊽, ㊾,
㊿ as an alternative, previously it only supported 1-20, but I have expanded it
to 1-50, see:
