When the option "Loop and repeat" in Slide Show Settings is selected, the
presentation does automatically restart and has to be manually restarted.
The idea behind loop and restart is that a presentation can be left to run
independently of any control to automatically provide information to a passing
audience.
Also, when there are objects are animated on a slide, "Loop and repeat" does
not work and the presentation does not run at all.
Running a presentation on loop and repeat should be a simple process to set up
for an Impress user. At the moment it definitely is not.
