Priority: medium
Bug ID: 61873
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: No connection over Wifi
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.0.1.1 rc
Component: Android Impress Remote
Product: LibreOffice
Let me start by saying I enjoyed the upgrade to version 4.0,
the new ppa works well (not yet super)
Anyhow, there was a new feature in this release, the remote control
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.libreoffice.impressremote
so of course I was going to try this, which was a disappointment since it did
not work (as expected)
A situation sketch:
Ubuntu 12.04.2 + libreoffice 4.0 (see ppa above)
Android ICS + remote-app
Phone has bluetooth; computer does not
Computer has settings of LO4.0 remote control activated
Phone has option of 'Enable wireless' (Try to connect to the computer over
wireless) activated.
So after changing those small configurations, restarting libreoffice a few
times,
I wanted to connect to a dummy presentation, this however fails.
I continued by searching for reasons, so I started wireshark, and checked my
wireless card, however to my surprise, no single package came from my phone to
my computer.
