          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 61887
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: SLIDESHOW: enhancement: enable customized show within
                    a slide show
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Windows (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 3.6.5.2 release
         Component: Presentation
           Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
Imagine following situation::

In my Impress presentation I am showing slide N,

Because and only because of the discussion I want to show additionally (e.g.) 2
slides, in one sequence, and then return to my slide N exactly in the status
the slide N was before I left it. (I grouped these 2 slides in a custom show
and call it CustShow.)

To start CustShow I want to click on text or button on slide N

After the last slide of the CustShow I want to show again slide N of the (main)
presentation. I want an automatic return to slide N, which should be exactly in
the status it was, when I left the slide N. (Slide N should not start from the
beginning.)

I personally keep the slides for my custom show(s) at the end of my main
presentation in a section I call "LinkedSlides". Howeve, idealy the CustShow
could also be located somewhere on the PC.

In Impress I looked into "interaction" and "hyperlink" but could not find a way
to show CustShow and return to my slide N from where I wanted to branch. I had
to create another link at the end of my CustShow to return to slide N. Thus,
slide N always starts from the beginning.

Let me please also explain what I did in In MS PowerPoint:before I switched
over to LO

1- created a custom show

2 - created a text box or button at the slide from where I wanted to start the
custom show

3 - hyperlinked text box (or button) with the custom show and set a flag to
return to the starting slide in the main presentation.

What I would like to have as an enhancement is a copy of the described
PowerPoint functionality.

As usual, I am willing to test this feature if I can install a LibO version
parallel to my production version.
Operating System: Windows XP
Version: 3.6.5.2 release
