Before assigning Ctrl+A for Impress, look in LibreOffice (probably it is "Select All") 2. After deleting Ctrl+A (Insert Slide Direct) in Impress, look in setting for LibreOffice -- notice that it is now "Insert Slide Direct"). This should explain why the "deleted" shortcut is still working. 3. Tried unsuccessfully to reproduce this with other key combinations. 4.
