Sorry, this in no workaround, because with PNG the background of the pattern is missing and JPG makes the the quality worse. (see Comment #2 2016-03-18 21:17:55 UTC) Six years later, there is still no "TIFF Options" window when exporting your work from Draw into TIFF format. Still, the amount of pixels of the image drops to one third, e.g. from 1000 to 350.
