But when I use "pdfimages" to extract the images, they look ok by size. Nothing extraordinary. I would expect to find some huge bitmap raster images if that was the problem. So maybe there is some bitmap raster, which is not used within images, but as plan text PDF syntax? This might be possible. Why would wecompress be able to skip those definitions? But I do not use any background images - mine are images, either positioned as character, or linked to the paragraph. I did not change any registrymodifications - I would have to find those first since bug 147811 looks more like a windows problem and the named virtual printer. I do not print.
