Graphic objects in Draw and paragraphs, characters and frames in Writer have
technically different shadows. One is a set of draw:shadow-foo attributes, the
other is one attribute style:shadow.
You can use a Text Box in the meantime as workaround. The text box has blur
shadow because it is a graphic object. You can anchor the text box as character
to keep it in the text flow.
Nevertheless it is a valid request.
